What if Paramount Animation was founded in 1940, rather than 2015, and Games Animation, Inc. was founded in 1985, rather than 1992?

Well, here is what would happen.

List of changes

• Paramount Animation would've been originally known as Anderson Productions (1940-1956), Pinwheel Productions (1956-1961), Pinwheel Animation (1961-1980), and Paramount Animation Studios (1981-2014, Paramount Feature Animation for films).
  • It would have two original founders: Graham Phillip Anderson (1908-2003) and William Nickolas Anderson (1912-2007). They would be CEOs until their retirements in 1994. (not real people)
  • However, they still gave input for ideas within Games Animation until their deaths.
  • Graham and William died in 2003 and 2007 respectively.
• Paramount would make more short films, with their 1950s cartoon characters such as SpongeBob being still owned by them and used in current media.
• Casper the Friendly Ghost's first animated short The Friendly Ghost (1945) would've been a featurette.
  • Speaking of Casper the Friendly Ghost, the 1995 movie would have been Paramount's first live action remake.
• SpongeBob SquarePants would've been the official mascot of Paramount Pictures and its parent company Viacom.
  • While SpongeBob SquarePants would be the studio's mascot from the 1950s to the present day, he would be later accompanied by Patrick and Squidward in 1978. June joined the mascot roster in 1995, Sonic the Hedgehog joined the mascot roster in 2001.
• Viacom would acquire Paramount in 1989 and the rights to the Games library would be owned by Paramount until then.
  • Nickelodeon, MTV, and VH1 would be owned by Gulf-Western instead of Warner-Amex.
• Ralph Bakshi would've been the co-director of Paramount's pre-1992 animated films.
  • Most of Ralph Bakshi's work would've been fully produced by Paramount Pictures, with them owning the permanent rights.
• Rankin/Bass co-founder Jules Bass would've become a Paramount veteran animator, shortly after Rankin/Bass was absorbed into Warner Bros. Animation.
• ViacomCBS would be acquired by Verizon in mid-2020 and renamed into Verizon Media.
• Fleischer Studios would be absorbed into Games Animation Inc. by the time that the latter company would be established.
• Paramount Animation would have its own animated cartoon short series named Gametoons. It would be a competitor to the short series and anthologies of the Golden Age of Animation.
  • Characters from SpongeBob SquarePants, Ren and Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, The Angry Beavers, and CatDog would first appear in the Gametoons series.
  • They would be created with the help of animators like Bob Clampett, Tex Avery and Chuck Jones.
  • The Gametoons characters would appear in Who Framed Roger Rabbit and BlooJ's Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (2020 film) at Marvin Acme's funeral, meaning that the scene would make it into the final film.
• Paramount would still make more animated films after Fleischer's departure, despite the box-office disaster of Mr. Bug Goes to Town.
• SpongeBob SquarePants creator Stephen Hillenburg would work for Games Animation Inc and Paramount Animation. He would also work on most of the Nicktoons from the 1990s to 2010s until his death in 2018.
• The 1971 live-action film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (which would been titled Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) would be released as an animated film.
  • The 2005 remake would be released by Paramount and be more accurate to the book.

• Nicktoons would later be mostly known for both the its classic animated series such as Doug, Rugrats, etc. and its adult animated sitcoms with crude humor since 1991.
• Paramount Pictures would have an association with CBS since the 40's.
  • However, Paramount was briefly associated with ABC in the 50's, then went back to CBS.
• Doug would be fully owned by Nickelodeon instead of Disney, meaning that Doug's 1st Movie would be distributed by Paramount instead of Disney.
• Ren & Stimpy would last from 1992 to 2006.
  • R&S: APC would be known as Season 12-19 of the show, and would have more episodes.
  • The episodes from the critically panned 2003 reboot would've been part of the show. They would be of better quality than their real versions and would have been well-received by critics and audiences, with the exception of Ren Seeks Help, which would be the most controversial Ren and Stimpy episode.
  • Stimpy's Pregnant would not exist.
• The Prometheus and Bob movie would actually be made and be released in 1998, albeit with mixed to negative reviews by critics and a Rotten rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
• Monster Trucks and the Transformers films would perform much better at the box office and critically.
• The character Jenny Wakeman would've debut as a comic book character in Nick Magazine in 1994 and would have later appeared in Oh Yeah Cartoons! for two of its episodes.
• Mike, Lu & Og would be a Nicktoon instead of a Cartoon Cartoon, and would be produced by Klasky-Csupo.
• Following Verizon Media's acquisition of a 49% stake in Miramax, beIN Media Group would agree to cede control to VM.
• The live-action Sailor Moon movie which had been cancelled by Disney would be released in 2006 by Paramount and Krusty Krab Productions.
• Games Animation Inc. would have a division dedicated to the production of adult animation called Krusty Krab Productions. It was formerly named Stimpy the Milkman Pictures (1991-1996) and Mr. Krabs Industries (1996-1999).
• Wonder Park would be produced in 1994 as a traditionally hand-drawn animated film. It was one of Paramount’s highest-grossing animated movies.
  • This AU version of Wonder Park would be rated G, but the uncut version would be rated PG.
  • Unlike the real-life CGI animated film, this version would've been more successful in this AU.
  • However, it had a hybrid remake in 2019. (replacing our real Dora and the Lost City of Gold).
  • Starting with Wonder Park, the Paramount Feature Animation logo would appear at the end of the movie (except for DreamWorks Animation SKG movies distributed by PFA which would have the DreamWorks Pictures logo), while the Paramount Pictures logo would appear at the start of the movie.

• VeggieTales would be on Nick Jr. and Nickelodeon and the rights to the franchise would be owned by Paramount Pictures.

• The Prince of Egypt, The Road to El Dorado, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron and Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas would've been co-produced and co-animated by DreamWorks Animation.
• Some of the staff of Paramount Animation would work on various projects outside of the studio.

• Patchy the Pirate and Potty from the SpongeBob SquarePants specials would've had their own animated series (taking the place of our real SpongeBob SquarePants).
  • They would also consistently host programming on Nickelodeon alongside Henry and June from 1996 to 2007.

• Nick at Nite would host more adult animation, while also airing the same sitcoms as its real-life version.
  • Most of the Comedy Central, MTV and Spike/Paramount Network cartoons would be in the line-up.
• Nickelodeon would've teamed up with the Walt Disney Company to air its films and shows, before Disney launched its very first TV network (Disney Channel) in 1983 and ended their partnership deal in 1988.
• The Nickelodeon Suites Resort would move to Universal Orlando Resort in 2016.
  • However, the operator would change from Holiday Inn to Karisma Hotels and Resorts.
• Paramount and Warner Bros. made a co-production deal in 1997 due to them owning joint-venture Comedy Partners, which at the time owned Comedy Central and The Bloo.
  • The initial deal involved them making at least 1 co-produced movie a year, and ran until 2014.
  • However, a new deal was made in 2016, with Paramount and Warner Bros making 3 movies (1 movie per year) based off of existing The Bloo properties.
• Paramount Vantage would continue to operate as Paramount's specialty film division.
  • Vantage would operate until April 2020, when it would be folded into Miramax.
    • Some of the films released under Vantage are involved with Nick at Nite.
• DreamWorks would have been fully owned by ViacomCBS. Its original incarnation was founded in 1979 as a television production company within Paramount Pictures.
  • Its productions mainly consisted of low-budget syndicated programming.
    • The studio was also used as a backup in case Games Animation got shut down. In 1987, DreamWorks was losing money and at best making low profits. However, it mostly shut down in 1984 due to bankruptcy. In 1985, to save the near-dying studio from bankruptcy, Paramount decided to convert DreamWorks Studios into a New Line Cinema-esque film studio that would function as a joint venture between Gulf+Western and MCA (with Columbia Pictures holding a 15% stake for a short time). The conversion was successful, and DreamWorks is producing films to this day.
    • Trolls would be produced in 1996 as a traditionally animated film as one of DreamWorks' first animated films. It would've been more critically successful.
      • However, the version we got in reality was released in 2016 as a remake in this alternate universe.
      • The character Guy Diamond would be fully clothed and sneeze out glitter for the AU version, compare to the real-life version, who is fully naked and farts out glitter, which would happen only in the live-action/CGI remake.
      • The film will still be rated PG, but the tone would be a little darker.
      • The songs "Can't Stop the Feeling!" and "Move Your Feet" would originate in 1995 by Paul McCartney as original songs for Trolls.
• Shrek would be released in 1995 as a film utilizing a revolutionary mix of animation techniques including, but not limited to; hand-drawn, CGI and stop-motion.
• The 2003 film The Cat in the Hat would've been an animated film rather than a live-action film.
  • Unlike the real-life live-action one, this version would've been successful.
  • A massive part of the adult gags in the film were censored on its original AU theatrical release. The adult gags that will be either cut from the AU version or toned down include:
    • The Cat lusting over a picture of Sally and Conrad's mother.
    • The Cat nearly yelling "Son of a bitch!" in one scene where he accidentally chopped part of his tail.
    • The infamous "Dirty hoe!" line.
    • The Cat showing his car in which he calls it the "Super Hydraulic Instantaneous Transporter" (S.H.I.T) will be changed to "Super Luxurious Omnidirectional Whatchamajigger a.k.a. the S.L.O.W.".
    • The cameo of Paris Hilton (whom the Cat is attracted to) dancing in a club.
    • However, on DVD and Blu-Ray releases, the original versions of the gags were left in (when enabled).
• DreamWorks and Pacific Data Images would be more integrated into ViacomCBS considering that DreamWorks would be owned by ViacomCBS (as well as Comcast) in this universe.
• CBS would have the broadcast rights to MLB, which it would take from Fox.
  • MTV, MTV2 and Showtime would own the rights to WWE, which they took from USA Network.
  • Nick@Nite and Comedy Central would air cable NASCAR races.
• MTV would still air music programming as well as its reality, comedy and adult animation fare.
• CBS would air some adult animation. It would air SpongeBob SquarePants (TV-14 episodes) in 1998, StarBirds in 2001 (which soon moved to ABC for the 2002 season), Barnyard in 2005 and The X's in 2006.
• In 1994, Games Animation Inc and Paramount Animation were taken over by Bloo J, Matt Chaudhary, Stephen Hillenburg and John Kricfalusi, deemed "The Fabulous Four".
  • The group's name was dropped in 2015 after John K was fired due to sexual allegations against him.
  • They decided to rename Mountain Animation into Paramount Feature Animation once they took over.

• South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut would've been released in 1996 rather than 1999, and would begin the South Park franchise.
  • The movie would be called Goin' Down to South Park, much like the mockumentary of the same name.
  • In this version, Ike would accompany the boys to the battlefield.
  • Kenny would be given a subplot in Hell where Satan challenged him to find Snacky S'mores proofs-of-purchase in order to get a wish granted. In the end, he opts to use them to wish everyone back to life
  • The Mole will debut at Gregory's "La Resistance" meeting, digging up through the floor to get in.
  • The film would start with Saddam Hussein being executed, setting up his appearance in Hell later on.
  • Instead of Conan O'Brien jumping and falling and crushed to his death at the car (with extra humor as the car owner turn off the alarm), he would take out a gun and shoot himself in the head (as it splatted entire part to the horror of his guests). 
• Speaking of which, South Park would be a stop motion adult show animated overseas by Cuppa Coffee Studios and Aardman Animations using claymation and cut-out graphics. It would also be a show for Nick at Nite.
  • Kenny McCormick would cameo in some Nickelodeon media as a punching bag.
• Henry Danger would've been instead been an adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane, Justin Roiland, and Dan Harmon.
  • It combines elements from The Adventures of Kid Danger, meaning that both TAOKD and Danger Force wouldn't exist.
• Back at the Barnyard would've been called The Barnyard. It would be released in 2005 rather than 2007, and instead be an adult animated sitcom. It was received well.
  • The film, Barnyard, would be released in 2003 instead of 2006.
• The Loud House would've been released in 2002 rather than 2016, and instead be an adult animated sitcom.
  • In this AU, The Loud Siblings would be genderbent (with the exception of Lola).

• The Nick Picks and Nick Jr. Favorites DVDs would be very different.
  • Viacom would not have any issues.
  • More Nick Picks DVDs would be released.

• Patty and Potty and The Fairly OddParents would be considered Nickelodeon's top-rated show and is then followed by Avatar: The Last Airbender, T.U.F.F. Puppy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Legend of Korra, The Loud House and Glitch Techs.
• The Garfield Show would be a 2D-animation cartoon created by Chris Savino and Jim Davis and would air on Nickelodeon.
• Instead of The Fairly OddParents Season 9-10 in the GAI AU, Chloe will be separate from The Fairly OddParents would be star in a stand-alone show called Chloe-Scouts (2013-2018) instead. 
• Some Cartoon Network shows (like Camp Lazlo, Adventure Time and The Powerpuff Girls) would air on Nickelodeon instead of Cartoon Network.
• Also, Disney Channel shows Phineas and Ferb and Big City Greens would air on Nickelodeon instead of Disney Channel.
• The split-screen credits would still be used as well, including the closing logos with the generic themes (similar to the major US networks) which have the remixes of the Nick theme.
  • They would be in the style of Nick at Nite's current SSCs.
• Super Mario Bros. (1993) would be released by Paramount as an animated film that is more faithful to the source material.
• Sanjay and Craig would instead be an adult animated sitcom created by Loren Bouchard, Seth MacFarlane, and Jay Howell.
  • Unlike the real-life version, this version would've been more successful and would receive better reviews in the AU.
  • The series would run from 2013 to present day.
  • 95% of the toilet humor in the film would be cut.
  • Brett Venom, M.D. (the show's first episode), Fart Baby, and Booyah for Bollywood (the show's finale) would not exist.
  • Laugh Quake would be the show's first episode instead.
• Breadwinners would've been called Bread Ducks and released in 2003 rather than 2014, and instead be an adult animated sitcom. And, unlike Breadwinners, this version will receive positive reviews.
• Dora and the Lost City of Gold would've been released in 2004 as a traditionally animated film.
  • There would not be as much adult gags in this version.
  • Ray Charles is dedicated after the fiasco trio appears in the end of the film.
  • The hallucination scene would not be in it due to the film already being 2D animated.

• The Nicktoons crossover film (known as Nicktoons Unite!), Jimmy Neutron 2: The Search for Carl, the sequels to Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, and the live-action Rugrats would exist.
  • TBA.
• Sonic The Hedgehog would've been produced as a computer-animated film and would have released in 2001 rather than 2020. (replacing our real Shrek movie)
  • In addition, Sonic's design controversy won't happen due to Paramount announcing that they would first make Sonic look more identical to how he appeared originally in the games, much like his Valentine's Day 2020 design.

• Hotel for Dogs would've been an animated film rather than a live-action film (due to its cartoony nature).
  • Monster Trucks and the Transformers films (which were all live-action films in real-life) would also be animated.

• Glitch Techs would air on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon rather than Netflix.

• SpongeBob SquarePants would be released in 1997 as a show for Nickelodeon as well as Nick at Nite.
  • Truth or Square, Atlantis SquarePantis and the stop-motion specials It's a SpongeBob Christmas! and The Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom still exist as one-off specials/TV films for SpongeBob. However, they would not be based on the TV series, but instead Gametoons.
  • The CGI superhero designs style for other SpongeBob characters than Sandy would look more realistic.
  • All the bad shows made to imitate SpongeBob wouldn't exist.
  • Kamp Koral, The Patrick Star Show and the untitled Squidward spin-off would exist, but they would be different. Kamp Koral would be a stop-motion show that airs on Nick Jr. and be made in 2002, The Patrick Star Show would be one of Paramount+'s first original shows, and the Squidward spin-off would be named Squidward's Back and be created in 2008 for Nickelodeon.

• Rise of the Guardians would be released in December, have a much better marketing campaign and would perform well at the box office, giving Paramount Animation an opportunity for a sequel that would release in 2018.
  • The sequel to Rise of the Guardians will take place a year after the first film.

• The Smurfs films would've be produced by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies instead of Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation (although the animation would still be done by Sony Pictures Imageworks), and even the CGI design style of the Smurfs and Azrael in the live-action film duology would look cartoony and identical to Peyo's artwork, much like Smurfs: The Lost Village.
• Two Rugrats Sequels would've been direct-to-video rather than Theatrical.
  • Rugrats Go Wild would be more successful in the AU version.
• Teletoon's Planet Sketch would instead be an adult animated show named Junk in the Trunk, which would be co-created by Kevin Smith and Jason Sudeikis. The running time of each episode would be 22 minutes instead of 11 minutes.
  • The flash animated segments would remain in the show.
  • How It Should Have Ended videos would be featured in the show.
    • As a result, Starz produces the show from 2009 onwards.
  • Various YouTubers would create segments for Junk in the Trunk, including AOK, mashed, Flashgitz, Yo Mama, CartoonHooligans, Piemations, Smosh, and Alligator Tub.
• The MCU would still be owned by Paramount, but with Disney owning 45%.
• After the series finale of iCarly, the channel's live-action schedule would be gradually axed as a way to focus exclusively on animated content and provide stronger competition to Cartoon Network rather than Disney Channel, most of the live-action sitcoms will be animated Nicktoons while some would be Nick at Nite shows.
  • As a result, future live-action sitcoms would be produced instead for TeenNick.

• The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, which its theatrical release has been cancelled due to the coronavirus will be released in theaters in 2021 instead.
• Several companies would have partnerships with Games Animation.
  • These include, but not limited to, Cuppa Coffee Studios, Nelvana, and The Jim Henson Company.
