Wonder Park is a 2019 American live-action/computer-animated hybrid musical buddy-comedy adventure film directed by Tim Burton and Jon Favreau from a screenplay from Ehren Kruger, John August, Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger.

The film is a live-action remake of Paramount Animation's 1994 animated film of the same name but added with some differences. It stars Brooklynn Prince, Jim Carrey, John Goodman, Chris Pratt, Billy Eichner, J. K. Simmons, TBA, TBA, TBA, TBA, and TBA. It is also produced by Ean Manley, who had previously worked on My Friend the Wizard for Disney and the remake of Keroppi: The Christmas Eve Gift for Nickelodeon.

Wonder Park premiered on August 2, 2019, at the Dolby Theatre and was theatrically released in the United States on August 9, 2019, by Paramount Pictures.

The film received mixed to positive reviews from critics, with many praising the musical score, Burton and Favreau's direction, visual effects, music, the performances and vocal performances (particularly Prince, Carrey, TBA, TBA, TBA, and TBA), faithfulness to the original animated film, and most of the screenplay, though it also received some criticism due to some parts of the screenplay, and its excessive similarities to the original.

The film grossed $1.457 billion worldwide against its $170 million budget and received an Academy Award nominations for Best Visual Effects, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Sound Editing.


June, an optimistic, imaginative girl, discovers an incredible amusement park called Wonderland hidden in the woods. The park is full of fantastical rides and talking, funny animals - only the park is in disarray. June soon discovers the park came from her imagination and she's the only one who can fix it, so she bands together with the animals to save this magical place and bring back the wonder in Wonderland.

Plans and rumours that Paramount is working on a live-action remake to Wonder Park were confirmed in early 2014, John Landis is rumored to direct it, but either turned it down or have a wildly different take on the source material.

On September 23, 2016, Paramount Pictures fully confirmed that Tim Burton and Jon Favreau would be directing a remake of the 1994 animated film Wonder Park, following a string of recent box office successes of Disney live-action remakes.
