The Nicktoons is an American animated television sitcom created by TBA for Nick@Nite, MTV, and FX.

Like The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, and Rick and Morty, The Nicktoons is designed for mature audiences and features a considerable amount of pop culture references.

The show is currently produced by TBA.

The show is rated TV-14-DLSV for suggestive dialogue, use of mild strong language, sexual content, and violence. Uncensored episodes are rated TV-MA.


In the town of Nickopolis, Nickelodeon characters live side by side. This includes SpongeBob, Timmy Turner, Tommy Pickles, Rocko, Ren, Stimpy, CatDog, and others. It shows the shenanigans of the lovable characters as they try to entertain themselves in their everyday lives. 


  • TBA as SpongeBob SquarePants, the main protagonist of the show who is a yellow sea sponge, and resembles a kitchen sponge TBA.
  • TBA as Patrick Star, a pink starfish who lives under an abnormally large rock and wears a swimsuit with flowers on it.
  • TBA as Squidward Tentacles, an octopus with a large nose whose main job is a cashier at the Krusty Krab.

The Nicktoons has been polarized with generally positive reviews worldwide who with praise for its TBA but criticism for its TBA


  • This is the first Nickelodeon project where the company (under Krusty Krab Productions) participates with 20th Century Fox on a project; in 1993, Nickelodeon signed a 2-year contract with 20th Century Fox to make feature films. The joint venture would mostly produce new material, though a Nickelodeon executive did not rule out the possibility of making films based on the Nicktoons released at the time.
